With the celebration of our fifth anniversary, we bring news of a project that has been in development in one form or another since the year of IER's founding.
The IER P13C is slated to arrive as IER's official return to public projects. Though we may have seemed relatively inactive, there has been quite a lot going on behind the scenes. The skill sets of each of our members have improved with time and experience, and we aim to showcase this improvement with the P13C. It still requires some development to reach completion, but we can assure future customers that it will be worth the wait. Thank you for your support. With a myriad of updates and fixes, we bring the development life of our first Car Pack to a definitive close. We would like to thank everyone for their support over the years and hope to spark that same enthusiasm for our upcoming projects. As usual, make sure to keep up with news via our website, social media, or our mailing list.

Featuring the Coyote and Dallara Corvette Daytona Prototypes along with the Oreca FLM09 LMPC car, the long awaited update to IER's first car pack is finally ready for public release.
The update brings new features, bug fixes, and improvements to the cars. Further development of the tire model, aerodynamic properties, suspension geometry and kinematics, among a myriad of other adjustments bring both of the cars to new levels of accuracy. Utilizing more technical data and telemetry than ever before, the Oreca FLM09 race car is as accurate as it gets in public simulations. Telemetry between the sim and real life around Sebring International Raceway has been matched to the mph, while braking torque has been calculated to be as accurate as the simulator can handle, with the only limitation of accuracy being the user's pedal set. To move along with Assetto Corsa's progress, all cars now feature the V10 tire model, dynamic brake temperature, and in a first for AC, visual aerodynamic part adjustments. Users can now choose the Low-Downforce configuration of the Corvette DPs via the in-game aero setup menu. In-game performance has now been enhanced via texture and material optimizations of the two cars. In addition to the update, RaceDepartment forum user, NCIS, has graciously produced all of the liveries from the 2016 season for the Oreca FLM09. An update to the "Standard Definition" livery pack will be uploaded soon, along with the updated templates for the Corvettes. Scheduling Update:The update for the car pack is now planned for a few days after the public release of Assetto Corsa version 1.7. The cars are essentially ready for release, but we've taken the decision to wait for brake temperature integration and centrifugal growth (which will both come with AC 1.7) to release the cars.
We have a newly updated website and domain name! An updated logo is being designed at the moment to reflect the name change from "IER Modding Group" to "IER Simulations".
The Corvette and Oreca will receive updates in short order and are currently being tested thoroughly by drivers in the Assetto Corsa Racing League. Things to expect from the upcoming update include: Corvette DP:
Oreca FLM09:
0.31 fixes a few issues that users were having, as well as a few other small updates.
A big update to our first Car Pack is coming very soon. Here are the details: Corvette Daytona Prototype: -3D completed for both the Dallara and Coyote chassis -Completely revamped physics based on data from engineers of the real car -Driver animations for both versions -Full LOD implementation for better frame rates -Feature list updated to current version of AC -New and improved sounds -New shaders Oreca FLM09: -Small 3D changes - with more to come once a new modeler is found -More accurate physics based off of better data - vastly different to the last release -Updated and improved sounds -Feature list updated to current version of AC -Livery compatibility - although not advised as neither the 3D model nor it's skinning layout is finalized -Verification of handling accuracy through tests done by a driver of the real car Thanks for your patience and support. Our Corvette Daytona Prototype vs. the real deal. If you haven't been following along with our progress on the official AC forum and Facebook, here are some pictures of the progress over the past few months: The current goal for the release of the Version 1.0 update of the Car Pack #1 (now with added Dallara Corvette DP) is for after AC's next game update (this is subject to change).
The Porsche's exterior 3D model has now been completed. Patrik will now continue work on the interior of the car. Stereo has also completed much of the Coyote Corvette DP's interior.
"New nuts on rims, bulbs in headlights, headlight washers, new fuel cap ( just to name few of the updates). All edges should now have smooth chamfer/rounded edge to them, also started working on brake calipers ( not visible in render)" - Patrik Marek
IER would like to thank the community for its continued support and engagement, allowing our forum thread to pass 300,000 views, get ever closer to 5000 posts, and in only 12 days, get 8,000 downloads of our recently released car pack, bringing the grand total over 25,000 downloads for both of our released cars.

Small-ish update for the Vette today. Newly modeled fuel filler cap (without textures), rear "lip" adjustable supports added, and wheels are actually on both sides of the car now.
A few of the many Corvette DP updates for the people that missed them on Facebook and the forum: Sorry for the lack of blog posts recently (incredibly bad internet at my house, which makes anything involving the website difficult.), keep checking Facebook and the forum for frequent updates.
