The IER P13C is slated to arrive as IER's official return to public projects. Though we may have seemed relatively inactive, there has been quite a lot going on behind the scenes. The skill sets of each of our members have improved with time and experience, and we aim to showcase this improvement with the P13C. It still requires some development to reach completion, but we can assure future customers that it will be worth the wait. Thank you for your support.
With the celebration of our fifth anniversary, we bring news of a project that has been in development in one form or another since the year of IER's founding.

Featuring the Coyote and Dallara Corvette Daytona Prototypes along with the Oreca FLM09 LMPC car, the long awaited update to IER's first car pack is finally ready for public release.
The update brings new features, bug fixes, and improvements to the cars. Further development of the tire model, aerodynamic properties, suspension geometry and kinematics, among a myriad of other adjustments bring both of the cars to new levels of accuracy. Utilizing more technical data and telemetry than ever before, the Oreca FLM09 race car is as accurate as it gets in public simulations. Telemetry between the sim and real life around Sebring International Raceway has been matched to the mph, while braking torque has been calculated to be as accurate as the simulator can handle, with the only limitation of accuracy being the user's pedal set. To move along with Assetto Corsa's progress, all cars now feature the V10 tire model, dynamic brake temperature, and in a first for AC, visual aerodynamic part adjustments. Users can now choose the Low-Downforce configuration of the Corvette DPs via the in-game aero setup menu. In-game performance has now been enhanced via texture and material optimizations of the two cars. In addition to the update, RaceDepartment forum user, NCIS, has graciously produced all of the liveries from the 2016 season for the Oreca FLM09. An update to the "Standard Definition" livery pack will be uploaded soon, along with the updated templates for the Corvettes. We have a newly updated website and domain name! An updated logo is being designed at the moment to reflect the name change from "IER Modding Group" to "IER Simulations".
The Corvette and Oreca will receive updates in short order and are currently being tested thoroughly by drivers in the Assetto Corsa Racing League. Things to expect from the upcoming update include: Corvette DP:
Oreca FLM09:
0.31 fixes a few issues that users were having, as well as a few other small updates.
A big update to our first Car Pack is coming very soon. Here are the details: Corvette Daytona Prototype: -3D completed for both the Dallara and Coyote chassis -Completely revamped physics based on data from engineers of the real car -Driver animations for both versions -Full LOD implementation for better frame rates -Feature list updated to current version of AC -New and improved sounds -New shaders Oreca FLM09: -Small 3D changes - with more to come once a new modeler is found -More accurate physics based off of better data - vastly different to the last release -Updated and improved sounds -Feature list updated to current version of AC -Livery compatibility - although not advised as neither the 3D model nor it's skinning layout is finalized -Verification of handling accuracy through tests done by a driver of the real car Thanks for your patience and support. Hey guys, we have officially switched to DISQUS comments! All you have to do is click on the title of the blog post, which will open a new page with a comments section.
Welcome to IER's newest mod. More info to come. Q&A session will be held on the AC forum within a day or two. We will announce when it starts. -logo by After_Midnight
Just a heads-up:
Some stuff changed in the physics code for the next game update. So once it's released, the car likely will crash the game. I'll fix it as soon as possible after the game update is released (14 hours -ish). Talking about the corvette. Time for announcement number 2 out of 3 on Thursday, July 17, 2014. For this announcement, we talk about another modder that quietly joined our group only a few weeks ago. You may know him for his professional 3D modeling for various games, or for his Nissan Primera project on the official Assetto Corsa forums. Patrik Marek has recently started the Porsche 911 (991) GT America and has made good progress with the use of very good references. As with the Oreca, it was only started around a week ago, so still very early, but already looking great! The 911 GTA competes in the slowest class of TUSCC, GT Daytona, or GTD. Competing with BMW Z4s, Ferrari GTs, and much more. - More to come. - Our forum thread just ticked over 100,000 views. In celebration, the Corvette DP High-Downforce car will be released as a public beta when it is ready (soon™).
PAGE 100, POST 2000 OF THE UNITED SPORTSCAR CHAMPIONSHIP MODIFICATION FORUM THREAD HAS BEEN REACHED.
I'd like to thank everyone for their continued support and compliments, and the rest of our modding group for continuing to create the best product possible. Thank you. Viper modeler, Stereo, has started on a second project; the Corvette DP.
"There is something to the shape that I haven't got right but it's going to be hard to work out until I cut the headlight into place." Regarding the Viper: "It's not done but a lot of the time spent for what's left is going to be under the hood (wheel wells, inside the side vent, between the hood and windshield) and I'd like to know the physical damage expectations - if the hood's able to move then it needs a bit more of a solid job. That and some model-specific edits (GT3-R has louvers over the front wheels, trunk is cut a little different, gas tank is different) is pretty much what's on the to-do list though. For first AC export I'm going to try to have the first LOD done (20k exterior + 5k interior, ish - looking like it'll be closer 22-25k with wheels) so there's something to look at while the physics guys get their hands dirty. Once it's ingame I can get a much better idea of what areas need most detail in the top LOD, though I have a pretty thorough plan to bevel every sharp edge until the polycount runs out." Please welcome Liam Kepinski to the IER Modding Group.
Liam will be working on 3d models for various cars in the TUSCC modification. He will be able to start work sometime after April, and is currently thinking of either starting on the Riley DP, or the Oreca 03. Please welcome user, speedpn to the IER Modding Group.
He'll be working on the 3D model for the Audi R8 GTD, and already has some great progress. We'll keep you guys updated on the progress. @Turnermotrsport BMW Z4 GTD livery V4.0 released for @AC_assettocorsa here: http://www.assettocorsa.net/forum/index.php?threads/turner-motorsport-bmw-z4-gtd-v4-0-update.5642/ We have decided on our modding group's name, the INTERNATIONAL ENDURANCE RACING MODDING GROUP.
Thanks for your support, The Team -Credit to After_Midnight for the fantastic logo. ![]() " Well, we have decided to thank all the American people (and all of our patrons) for the great support they have shown our game with a new exciting license addition: Assetto Corsa welcomes the Corvette! The new amazing C7 Stingray 2014 will be added to Assetto Corsa as a free content, and the incredible and beautiful Corvette C.7 race car will be part of the Dream Pack that will include ten cars and the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife! We will keep you updated with the work in progress on these new exciting car models: ciao America! " -Kunos Simulazioni We're assuming the C.7 racecar that will be in the "Dream Pack DLC" is the C7.R GTLM car. So BMASTER will stop work on the 'Vette and move to another car. Which will be announced shortly. Cobalt will start the 3D modeling of the Porsche 991 RSR once he has familiarized himself with the 3D software.
